We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Manager to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable operations of the meat department through sales maximization and team member growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the meat department, including receiving deliveries, breaking down loads, and rotating cooler stock.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient weighing, pricing, and labeling of products.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products to meet customer demands.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of product knowledge to drive sales and suggestive selling.
  • Manage inventory control, product ordering, and reconciliation of invoices.
  • Lead and train team members, promoting positive morale and a culture of excellence.
  • Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets, while maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.
  • Execute weekly merchandising plans and conduct department walks and staff meetings to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
Preferred Requirements
  • Serve Safe Certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
