Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Columbus Regional Health. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning and sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for patient use.
  • Collaborate with the Central Processing team to ensure timely and efficient processing of medical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment processing and sterilization.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest sterilization and processing techniques.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer experience and proficiency in software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and push loaded carts weighing over 200 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST) or equivalent.
  • Experience in Central Service or a related field.
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and medical terminology.
