The Department of Radiology at a prestigious institution is seeking qualified candidates for multiple openings at the Associate or Full Professor level within the non-tenure academic clinician track. Candidates should possess a strong background in thoracic imaging.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or an equivalent degree. Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Radiology is required, along with specialized training in Cardiothoracic Radiology.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will engage in the daily clinical oversight of residents and fellows specializing in cardiothoracic imaging. Responsibilities may also include delivering lectures to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from various departments. An educational leadership role within the division is expected.
Clinical Duties:
Clinical responsibilities encompass the interpretation of chest radiographs, thoracic CT scans, and thoracic MRI. Experience in performing thoracic needle biopsies is preferred. There is also an opportunity to engage in cardiovascular CT and MRI clinical practices. Participation in shared after-hours and weekend coverage is required.
