Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to join our team in Alamo, Tennessee. As a key member of our North America Regional Technology Center, you will play a critical role in enhancing the performance of transformer components that meet IEEE standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on creating new products and refining our current portfolio. You will be responsible for managing development projects independently, ensuring they meet time, budget, and quality requirements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Create new technologies and products for high-voltage components
  • Manage development projects independently
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop new technical concepts
  • Design new products and simulate their expected performances
  • Arrange prototyping and testing activities
  • Share knowledge and findings with production environment
  • Offer technical support to other departments as needed
  • Participate in international pre-standardization and standardization work
About You
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Candidate must already have the work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Extensive knowledge of design and development experience of IEEE HV insulation components
  • Proven track record as project leader
  • Competence in using CAD tools, simulation tools, Windchill, SAP, and MS Office
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and results-focused work attitude
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
