General Information:
Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is looking for a RMR specialist to join our team. This is position requires experience building OIP Bushings of all kV classes and of all styles. Experience in bulk bushing and T bushing assembly is preferred. The RMR specialist is responsible for receiving RMRs into the plant, troubleshooting/evaluating and planning the refurbishment or repair of the bushing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage RMRs from receiving all the way through test.
- Evaluate and trouble shoot the units.
- Work with engineering and CS to setup SAP BOM requirements as well as work hand in hand with quality to determine warranty status.
- Rework and rebuild bushings back to applicable specifications.
- Package materials to meet internal procedures and specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Handle assembly materials, some being hazardous, such as ethyl alcohol, cleaning solutions, gaskets, O-rings, machined components (aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel), zinc oxide discs, epoxy compounds, fiberglass, cardboard packaging, and wood crates.
- Work within a team structure with minimal supervision on routine tasks
- Maintain a high level of 5s and organization in the RMR area and RMR storage zones.
- Read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions, assembly drawings and wiring schematics.

Your Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Minimum 5 years of OIP bushing assembly experience - OIP Winding experience is a plus.
- Proficient in pulling, printing and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word)
- SAP experience
- Excellent communication skills between cross functional teams
- Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35lbs safely, operator a fork truck and overhead crane.
- Flexible and willing to work outside or RMR area as needed.
