Position Overview:
The Senior Health Economics Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering insightful, data-driven analysis to our executive leadership. This position is essential for identifying potential risks and opportunities within the Medicare Advantage landscape and the broader healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of enrollment, revenue, and claims data to identify business challenges and enhance financial performance.
2. Collaborate with finance and operational leaders to establish benchmarks that monitor medical cost trends and variances.
3. Prepare detailed presentations for executive management, interpreting data results and providing actionable recommendations to maximize profitability.
4. Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to medical costs across various divisions.
5. Utilize advanced data analytics and modeling techniques to assess the return on investment of existing and proposed medical cost initiatives.
6. Partner with Analytics and IT teams to validate data, improve reporting tools, and design new products for enterprise use.
7. Foster strong relationships with leadership to support problem resolution and maintain awareness of medical cost challenges.
8. Assist in the annual planning process by developing medical cost targets and projections.
9. Analyze emerging medical cost trends and forecast their impact on future periods, identifying actions to improve outcomes.
10. Conduct ad-hoc analyses for claims and KPIs to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably in a Medicare Advantage or risk-based healthcare organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Qlikview, and SQL is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
