About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in the treatment and care of our patients, working closely with our Physical Therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with exercises and activities as outlined in their treatment plans
  • Provide education to patients and their families on proper techniques and safety precautions
  • Document patient progress and communicate with Physical Therapists to ensure seamless care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience working in an acute care setting, preferably as a Physical Therapist Assistant
