Occupational Therapist PRN

We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist PRN to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of occupational therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine physical condition, limitations, medical histories, and patient goals.
- Teach patients how to interact with adaptive technology, use assistive devices, and guide them through treatment activities to assist them in regaining the skills needed for their daily life.
- Provide education to patients/families and effectively document the therapy process.
- Communicate and collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team, including other therapists, physicians, and nurses, to best treat patients.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy is required.
- Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you practice, in accordance with law and regulation.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- Prior acute care and/or inpatient rehab experience working as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
