Job Summary

Cherokee County School District - GA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our special education department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Assess and diagnose students with speech and language disorders, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and to involve them in the educational process.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, and apply this knowledge to improve services and outcomes for students.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Valid certification or licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with students with speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
