Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will work closely with patients, caregivers, and physicians to provide exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrieve patient records and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative visits, including preparing patients for procedures
- Provide support to RNs with opening and closing duties, including preparing instruments and equipment
- Chart patient information, including surgery notes and progress notes
- Assist physicians during procedures as needed
- Clean and sterilize operating rooms and instruments
- Communicate with patients and caregivers regarding treatment procedures, medications, and physician instructions
- Valid and current State LVN/LPN License
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
- Sound clinical judgment and ability to interpret instructions
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to problem solve and clarify necessary steps of logic and reasoning
- Familiarity with MS Office, including Excel
