Position Summary:
This internship offers a unique opportunity for students to engage in the practical aspects of mechanical engineering within a dynamic industrial setting. Interns will participate in various stages of project execution, including analysis, design, installation, and operational start-up. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles applicable to high-speed automated manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of detailed designs and engineering solutions.
- Engage in problem-solving and provide alternatives for assigned challenges.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values respect and inclusion.
- Maintain safety and security protocols while managing documentation.
- Enhance technical skills through hands-on experience in various engineering tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and completion of at least 1.5 years of college coursework in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with basic statistics and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Prior co-op or internship experience is advantageous.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
