About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Youth Counselor to join our team at Youth Villages. As a key member of our Residential Treatment program, you will play a vital role in providing emotional and behavioral support to at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach life skills and provide daily care to children in a residential setting
  • Assist in treatment planning and development for each child
  • Conduct daily documentation, including contact notes, milieu notes, and precautionary notes
  • Participate in client transports and recreation therapy activities
  • Implement coping skills and therapeutic interventions to improve children's behavior
  • Conduct group and one-on-one counseling sessions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience working with at-risk youth a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
