Job Description

As a Residential Counselor with MAB Community Services, you will provide support to participants in cluster homes, promoting personal growth and community membership. Under the supervision of the Residential Coordinator, you will ensure a safe and clean home environment, assist with data collection, and advocate for participants' choices and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in regular supervision and staff meetings to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain required certifications, including Medication Administration Program Certification (MAP).
  • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors, including data collection and progress notes.
  • Ensure a safe and clean home environment, assist with household tasks, and support participants in maintaining their living space.
  • Advocate for participants' choices and needs, ensuring their Individual Support Plan (ISP) is implemented.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and community professionals.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and driving; ability to lift and/or carry lightweight and moderately heavy objects.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 9am - 4pm, Friday - Sunday: 9am - 9pm
