Job Summary

As a Residential Counselor with MAB Community Services, you will provide support to participants in cluster homes, promoting their personal growth and community membership. This role involves ensuring a safe and clean home environment, advocating for participants' choices and needs, and providing direct support with activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in regular supervision and work with the Residential Coordinator to ensure a safe home environment.
  • Maintain all required certifications, including Medication Administration Program Certification (MAP).
  • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors, including data collection, progress notes, and assessments.
  • Ensure a safe and clean home for all participants, assist with data collection, and comply with program policies.
  • Dispense medications, obtain vital signs, and administer treatments to participants per physicians' orders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and community professionals.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and driving; ability to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment.
