Job Title: Table Service Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Table Service Assistant to join our team at the Colonial Williamsburg Company. As a Table Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front-of-house and back-of-house areas.

Job Summary:

The Table Service Assistant will assist servers as needed, clearing tables, stocking work stations, removing dirty dish trays, and performing various other tasks to maintain a high level of service and cleanliness. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist servers with clearing tables, stocking work stations, and removing dirty dish trays
  • Perform various tasks to maintain a high level of service and cleanliness, including refilling water pitchers, maintaining cabinets, and replenishing food trays
  • Assist with set-up and breakdown of dining rooms, including resetting tables and polishing tables, chairs, and high-chairs
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience
Requirements:
  • 2 years of food and beverage experience or customer service experience
  • Excellent public contact skills, including tact, courtesy, and patience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler's card and TIPS certification
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and carry trays weighing up to 50 pounds
