Job Title: Table Service Assistant

The Williamsburg Inn, a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and a National Trust for Historic Preservation Historic Hotel of America, seeks a skilled Table Service Assistant to join our team. As a Table Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist servers with clearing tables in a Five Star manner, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.
  • Provide water and coffee service throughout the meal, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain dining room stations before, during, and after service, including polishing silverware, glassware, and folding linen napkins.
  • Reset tables to a Five Star standard, showcasing your attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Take necessary precautions to avoid breakage of glassware and dinnerware, prioritizing guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Assist servers throughout the shift, seeking to learn and master all aspects of the role.
  • Place the needs of the guest above all else, ensuring a Five Star dining experience that exceeds expectations.
Requirements:
  • 6 months to one year of food service or restaurant experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service.
  • Demonstrated excellent public contact skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible and adaptable attitude.
  • Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds, working while standing for long periods of time, and maintaining a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
