Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Equipment Issues: Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Establish and implement regular preventive maintenance activities on equipment in the facility to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Facility Maintenance and Repairs: Perform timely facility and building maintenance, minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired equipment as needed.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs performed.
  • Contract Management: Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
  • Supervision of Contractors: Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
  • Health, Safety, and Quality Initiatives: Participate in, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and lean initiatives and requirements.
Requirements
  • Mechanical and Technical Aptitude: Possess a strong understanding of mechanical and technical principles.
  • Industrial Maintenance Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Education and Certifications: College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field, and current certification to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, side-loaders, and cherry pickers.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry tasks.
