Job Summary

Mt. Wachusett Community College seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Aid Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the planning, organization, and administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation and management of all administrative functions within the Financial Aid Office.
  • Run discrepancy reports and collaborate with the team to identify issues.
  • Coordinate the federal financial aid programs.
  • Provide leadership and direction to financial aid counselors and administrative staff.
  • Prepare and review compliance, error, reconciliation, and other financial aid-related reports.
  • Support students applying for financial aid and process applications.
  • Assist students with financial aid awards and student loans.
  • Participate in the Administrative Action Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education, Business, Accounting, Human Services, Sociology, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience and/or training involving financial aid operations, loan processing, and computer operations.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Work hours: 9-5 M-Th, Fridays 8-4, availability to work special events and to assist in covering later hours is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
