Role Overview:
The Cybersecurity Insider Threat Specialist will assess unusual event data and scrutinize insider threat program datasets to perform threat evaluations. This opportunity is designed for an early-career cybersecurity enthusiast who is highly motivated to learn and advance in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute thorough all-source analysis to support the Insider Threat initiative.
2. Assess unusual event data for potential threats.
3. Utilize network monitoring, data analytics, and various tools to integrate available information, identify underlying trends and anomalies, and recognize subtle patterns within the datasets.
4. Generate comprehensive analytic products in alignment with the Insider Threat mission.
5. Aggregate, analyze, and assess available program data sources to determine Insider Threat risk levels.
6. Extract and organize data to create metrics, reports, case studies, and trend analyses.
7. Conduct risk assessments and present findings to diverse audiences, including senior decision-makers, through both written and oral presentations.
8. Perform research to bolster ongoing analytic initiatives.
9. Prepare and deliver situational awareness and warning reports related to Insider Threats.
10. Assist in the preparation and generation of analytical reports aimed at identifying process efficiencies.
11. Provide editing and quality assurance for program outputs.
12. Review Insider Threat information to meet program mission requirements and timelines.
13. Offer recommendations to leadership on enhancing the Insider Threat program.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate Clearance Required

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a closely related discipline.
- 3+ years of general experience with at least 2 years in cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of insider threat program objectives.
- Familiarity with risk-scoring concepts and exposure to data analytics tools.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing technical reports on analytic findings.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in sensitive roles.
- Quick learner with the capacity to contribute positively within a collaborative team environment, even as the least experienced member.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as an insider threat analyst is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position with expectations of on-site presence in Washington, DC, several days a week.
