Job Overview:

To maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dishroom areas, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role involves cleaning, transporting, and storing china, glassware, and silverware, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen areas and the back dock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
  • Break down trays, set up the dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store all clean china, glass, and silver using proper procedures.
  • Empty trashcans and wash the inside and outside.
  • Thoroughly clean the dock area and dumpster.
  • Break down the dish machine and clean the inside and outside.
  • Clean all breakdown tables.
  • Clean tile walls and baseboards.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests.
  • Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job, and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
