ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders while optimizing operational efficiency.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams, supply chain management, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations and on-time product delivery.
• Leverage ERP systems and scheduling software to assess production capacity, identify potential bottlenecks, monitor progress, and implement improvements for enhanced production outcomes.
• Oversee inventory management, forecast material needs, and liaise with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure sufficient stock levels and resolve shortages.
• Adapt and enhance scheduling methodologies to respond to evolving production requirements and boost overall agility.
• Inform stakeholders of any schedule modifications, delays, or challenges, and collaborate to find effective solutions.
• Evaluate historical production data and metrics to refine scheduling precision and effectiveness.
• Request quotes for subcontracted services.
• Place and expedite orders for subcontracted services.
• Collaborate with the Receiving team to streamline the processing of incoming materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological innovations, and best practices in manufacturing scheduling.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with company safety standards.
• Exemplify health and safety practices in daily operations.
• Maintain a tidy and secure working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Competent in using computer systems and software applications.
• Extensive knowledge of ERP or MRP software (SAGE preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a team setting while meeting deadlines and delivery schedules.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Capable of working independently and making informed decisions relevant to the role.
• Assist with inventory management tasks.
• Support other operational areas within your expertise as business needs arise.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The Manufacturing Planner/Engineer operates in an office environment within a manufacturing facility, with significant interaction with shop floor personnel in a setting with operating machinery. The role may involve exposure to heat, noise, dust, and chemicals typical of a machining and fabrication environment. Adherence to health and safety protocols is essential to maintain a safe workplace.
