Legal Document Processor

Ropes & Gray is a global law firm seeking a highly skilled Document Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our document production department, you will be responsible for preparing, editing, and formatting complex legal documents. Your expertise in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, and Adobe Acrobat will be invaluable in ensuring the highest quality output.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Creating and editing legal documents, including briefs, letters, charts, and forms
- Formatting and styling complex Word documents at an advanced level
- Maintaining shift logs, assigned job requests, and special projects while meeting deadlines
- Assisting attorneys, staff, and clients with general questions and inquiries
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in document processing
- 70 wpm typing speed with expert proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Compare, iManage, DocX tools, EDGAR/SEC filing, transcribing software, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, InterAction, WinZip, and other software related to document processing
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
