Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Lead Preschool Teacher/Instructor to lead our preschool program. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of children aged 3-5 years.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of participants during programs and activities.
  • Manage cash handling and daily reporting, inventory control, and miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and organizations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent certification required.
  • Emergent Literacy for VPK instructor's course completed.
  • 40-hour training in Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) required.
  • Two years or more of successful experience in child-related field preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire/promotion.
  • Ability to take 10 additional hours of in-service training yearly.
Working Conditions:

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with children, parents, and staff. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and communication.

This is a contract position governed by the terms and conditions of the employment agreement. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
