Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Lead Preschool Teacher/Instructor to join our team at the City of Cape Coral, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children's growth and school readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and implement recreational programs for children, ensuring a developmentally appropriate environment.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of participants, while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
  • Process registrations, manage inventory, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders, while promoting family involvement in the program.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, using an approved curriculum, to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
  • Monitor and document children's progress, while providing feedback to parents and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent certification required.
  • Emergent Literacy for VPK instructor's course completed.
  • 40-hour training in child development and family services required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire/promotion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Working Conditions

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with children, parents, and staff. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
