**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor Manager to join our team at the San Francisco International Airport.

**About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have four years of experience supervising survey parties and hold a valid California Professional Land Surveyor License, or a valid California Civil Engineer License (issued in 1981 or before).
  • Possession of a valid California driver license (at least Class C) is also required.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a section or division by planning, assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of a group of technical and professional personnel engaged in land survey activities or the processing of map applications and the monument preservation and maintenance program.
  • Review surveying or map requirements and resolve problems as needed.
  • Collect and review survey notes or map applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other city agencies on requests for service, time schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Develop, interpret, and coordinate surveying and map processing policy and methods for the department.
  • Process and check subdivision map applications, plans, and survey records prepared by licensed land surveyors.
  • Write and check boundary legal descriptions and perform other professional duties which require a licensed land surveyor.
  • Manage horizontal and vertical control systems and implement and maintain Geographic Information System (GIS) base map system.
