Field Service Engineer - Injection Molding Machines

Plastic Executive Recruiters is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced molding equipment across North America.

This role offers a great opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer with expertise in hydraulics, electrical circuits, PLC systems, and automation. Experience with processing/molding machines is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide field service, maintenance, and warranty repairs for a product line of rubber injection molding machines.
  • Perform in-house machine assembly and retrofitting projects.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including repair orders, warranty, and customer documentation.
  • Train customer staff on machine operation and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs to generate additional service or parts revenue.
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies, hydraulic systems, and disassemble large components for diagnostics.
  • Experience reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of servo hydraulic systems and PLC-based control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging large components.
  • Must be able to travel 60-75% of the time, including occasional international trips.

  • Competitive base salary of $70,000 - $85,000 DOE.
