About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Technician to provide high-quality AV services for our Conference Center events. As a Freelance AV Specialist, you will work closely with our team to ensure seamless event production, from setup to teardown.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and provide expert advice on equipment selection and setup.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AV concerns during events and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
  • Set up, operate, and tear down a variety of AV equipment, including video cameras, microphones, mixers, and projectors.
  • Coordinate virtual event conference tools, such as Zoom, YouTube streaming, and Facebook Live, to ensure smooth execution.
  • Record events from control rooms and mixing booths, using both portable and fixed equipment.
  • Ensure timely post-production audio and video editing and distribution.
  • Perform digital media conversions for various formats and access options.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of professional video production experience.
  • Ability to set up and operate AV production and equipment.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard digital video production software and non-linear editing systems.
  • Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and move around for extended periods.
