Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and diagnose students' communication skills using standardized tests and informal assessments.
  2. Develop and implement IEPs for students on your caseload and collaborate with teachers to implement therapy plans.
  3. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to help students develop effective communication skills.
  4. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and educators.
  5. Collaborate with school administrators and other professionals to ensure seamless coordination of services.

Requirements:

  • State certification as determined by the Alabama State Department of Education and the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with communication disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in speech and language pathology, including knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic strategies.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
