Job Title: Lab Director Regional

North Central Surgical Center, a highly successful and Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled Lab Director Regional to join our team.

About North Central

Our hospital has 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms, and we are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area. We specialize in Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lab Director Regional to provide leadership and expertise in laboratory testing, develop policies and procedures, and analyze data to drive quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical technology, laboratory management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to laboratory staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, and phlebotomists.
  • Analyze data and develop reports to drive quality improvement and ensure accurate laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with medical directors, physicians, and other department heads to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification by a recognized accrediting agency, such as MLS(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory, with experience in point-of-care testing and knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to detect color and color changes.
