Job Overview

Objective:

The Asphalt Production Specialist plays a crucial role in the safe operation and upkeep of the asphalt production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and determine the necessary quantities of materials for asphalt production.
  • Adjust machinery controls to manage material flow effectively.
  • Regulate system speeds to optimize production.
  • Ensure the plant operates within the required temperature ranges.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to modify material blends as required.
  • Track inventory levels of all mix components.
  • Oversee production metrics and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor the plant site to guarantee safe and efficient traffic management.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues in collaboration with team members and supervisors.
  • Complete necessary plant documentation accurately and input reports into the computer system.
  • Work in environments that may expose you to high temperatures, fumes, dust, and loud noises, as well as moving machinery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant operations is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail is required, including proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and understanding of percentages for material quantity assessments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and compliance with company policies.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed, including potential evening, night, weekend, and overtime shifts.
  • Continuous mental and visual focus is necessary to complete tasks safely and effectively.
