Objective
The Bituminous Liquid Asphalt Operators play a crucial role in the safe operation of machinery utilized for paving surfaces such as roadways, parking areas, and airport runways.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and dismantle fresh oil and related signage.
- Assist with traffic management as required.
- Load and unload bituminous liquid asphalt materials.
- Apply bituminous liquid asphalt at job sites following specified project guidelines.
- Control temperatures and flow rates of bituminous liquid asphalt.
- Conduct daily maintenance inspections and perform minor repairs.
- Operate all machinery and tools in compliance with safety protocols and carry out all physical tasks safely.
- Additional responsibilities may include laboring and operating other machinery as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paving crew environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Further education is advantageous.
- Applicants must possess a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsements.
Skills and Attributes
- Comprehensive knowledge of various facets of the paving sector and diverse paving machinery.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in collaborative settings.
- Physical capability to bend, crouch, and remain standing for extended periods.
- Must have dependable transportation.
