Slidell Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Traveling Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Mobile Cath Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in patient setup and preparation for procedures, operating radiographic fluoroscopy equipment, and conducting hemodynamic monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Patient Setup and Preparation
- Ensure safe patient transfer and positioning techniques are used during procedures.
- Document procedures and interventions in the procedure log to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.
- Operate Radiographic Fluoroscopy Equipment
- Obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
- Monitor delivery of radiation dose to patients to ensure safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff.
- Conduct Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Report values to performing physicians during procedures.
- Transmit, Archive, and Retrieve Digital Images
- Use picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS) to transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images.
- Perform Quality Control Standards
- Use optimum diagnostic imaging and perform regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
- Adapt to Patient Population
- Respect patient privacy and adapt communication style to meet patient needs.
- Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice AND registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Schedule Information
- NIGHT WEEKEND CALL REQUIRED _ 9-11 on call shifts per month.
- Traveler will be required to provide a valid and current Driver's License or State ID. Copy must be in color.
- All Allied and Nursing candidates are required to undergo Fit Testing within one year of start. All N95 masks are acceptable. If the traveler cannot complete fit testing prior to the compliance deadline, they may complete it onsite.
