Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology/CT/MRI Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verifies physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care
  • Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic technology experience
Work Environment

The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
