Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for operating the heart catheterization laboratory suite, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate diagnostic fluoroscopy and cardiac equipment to obtain high-quality images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
- Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures and report values to the performing physician.
- Monitor radiation dose delivery to patients, ensuring minimal exposure to staff.
- Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in picture archiving and communicating systems (PACS).
- Perform quality control standards, including regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
- Associate degree in radiologic sciences (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
