Job Summary

The Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance program for the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a compliance program that ensures adherence to federal and state regulations
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify areas of non-compliance
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance policies and procedures
  • Monitor regulatory communications and updates to ensure compliance with changing regulations
  • Develop and maintain a master calendar of compliance items and ensure timely completion of action items
  • Institute measures to prevent, detect, and correct fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Develop and implement an internal audit cycle to ensure compliance with CMS and DHCS regulations
  • Support the FHCSD PACE organization with coordinating CMS, DHCS surveys/audits, and other audits
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare-related field
  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting or similar clinical setting
  • Previous PACE experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal interactions with clients, co-workers, and external entities
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, ensure accuracy, and meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applicable software and tools
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time-management skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals
Working Conditions

The Compliance Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse multi-cultural population. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
