Job Summary:

Papé Machinery, a leading capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to join their team in Fremont, CA.

About the Role:

As a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing construction and forestry equipment in the shop, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to support our customers and maximize their uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including construction and forestry machinery
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using your technical skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently
  • Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the quality of work and service provided

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
