As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency and preventive maintenance, completing maintenance and repair records as required.
- Review assigned work orders, estimating time and materials needed to complete repairs and ordering essential materials and supplies.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems, solving and repairing buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
- Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, summoning additional assistance as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more, and perform physical tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and ability to use personal computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
