We are seeking a highly skilled Refractory Specialist to join our team at North American Construction Services, Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Lay and align firebricks, gunite, castables, and refractory tile to build or repair high-temperature equipment and structures.
- Tear out refractory masonry and install new refractory materials.
- Operate refractory pumps, gunite rigs, refractory mixers, forklifts, and skid steers.
- Read blueprints and job specifications to perform various welding tasks.
- Experience with firebrick, castable, plastics, ceramics, gunite, shotcrete/pump, and anchor systems.
- Welding skills for thermal process applications.
- 2+ years of construction experience.
- Skill in all phases of refractory construction, including gunite, pouring, ramming, pumping, ceramic fiber, and firebrick installation.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time with potential additional travel.
