This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the direction of our pre-hospital emergency care services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of EMS systems, protocols, and best practices, coupled with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Clinical Oversight: Provide expert medical guidance and oversight for all aspects of pre-hospital emergency care delivered by our EMS personnel. This includes establishing and monitoring field performance guidelines, training protocols, and standing orders that align with national standards and local regulations.
- Protocol Development & Implementation: Develop, implement, and revise protocols and standing orders governing pre-hospital care, ensuring they reflect current medical best practices and address the unique needs of our service area.
- Quality Assurance & Improvement: Lead a comprehensive quality assurance program to monitor and improve the effectiveness and safety of our EMS operations. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and data analysis to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Training & Education: Actively participate in the training and continuing education of our EMS personnel, ensuring they maintain their certifications and stay abreast of evolving medical knowledge and practices.
- Community Engagement: Serve as a liaison between our EMS program and the local medical community, fostering strong relationships and collaborating on initiatives to enhance patient care.
We seek a physician with:
- A Texas Medical License with specialization in Emergency Medicine
- Extensive experience in pre-hospital emergency care and emergency management
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
