Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' conditions to determine the severity of their problems and provide timely and effective treatment.
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to diagnose and treat patients.
- Stabilize or attend to patients' basic needs and refer them to specialists, admit, or transfer them as necessary.
- Effectively interact with diverse cultural backgrounds and a wide range of personality types and ages.
- Fill out T-sheets and prepare paperwork for legal records and the benefit of other healthcare professionals.
- Promote health education and liaise with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality treatment and teamwork.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- ACLS certified.
- Experience with LMR and EPIC preferred.
- 3 years of emergency room experience preferred.
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. You will be subject to frequent interruptions and involved with patients, residents, staff, government agencies/personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances. You must be constantly alert for patient safety and be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these to function adequately.
