Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vegetation Management Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating tree trimming and removal projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and utility specifications.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain necessary permissions and permits from property owners, municipalities, and businesses for vegetation management activities.
- Develop detailed work plans, considering factors such as equipment accessibility, time requirements, weather conditions, and customer specifications.
- Inspect right-of-ways to assess vegetation conditions and determine required maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, customers, and stakeholders regarding project details, timelines, and any potential concerns.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with established safety protocols and industry standards.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion.
- Provide support during storm restoration operations as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage teams in challenging situations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and proper arboricultural techniques for working near energized conductors.
- Understanding of electrical circuits and the ability to interpret circuit maps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
