**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth/Young Adult Mentor to join our team. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in building trusting relationships with young people, offering guidance, encouragement, and support as they transition into adulthood.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop a positive and trusting relationship with your assigned youth/young adult mentee
  • Be a supportive role model and source of encouragement, helping your mentee identify and achieve personal and professional goals
  • Assist your mentee in developing important life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and financial literacy
  • Offer guidance on navigating college applications, career exploration, or independent living (as needed)
  • Participate in fun and engaging activities that align with your mentee's interests
  • Maintain open communication with program staff and mentee's guardians (when applicable)
  • Attend mentor training workshops (as required)

**Requirements**

  • Passion for working with youth/young adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with young people
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by youth/young adults
  • Experience in a relevant field (e.g., education, career counseling) (preferred)

  • Reliable transportation (may be required)
