Position: Senior Scientist (Biology Specialist)

Location: Temecula, CA

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Compensation: $40-43/hr

Working Hours: 8am-5pm

Role Overview:
In this position, you will be responsible for the identification, assessment, and development of pioneering technologies tailored to meet the dynamic requirements of the Life Science sector, particularly in the realm of Advanced Cell Culture.

Your primary focus will revolve around the enhancement and execution of sophisticated cell culture systems, with an initial emphasis on liver, small intestine, and kidney models that pertain to preclinical safety and drug metabolism. Additionally, you will contribute to a deeper understanding of the interactions between biological targets and tissue biology.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and participate in international, cross-disciplinary project teams to address project demands and assist the laboratory in advanced tissue cell culture models. A solid background in cell culture methodologies and a robust network within the academic community are essential for this role.

This position entails direct collaboration with Healthcare professionals, particularly concerning the development of iPSC-derived organoids. The role will also encompass support for the broader Bioconvergence initiative.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Biology (a strong foundation in biology is essential)
- Postdoctoral experience is required
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and teamwork orientation

Essential Experience:
- Proficiency in organoid and stem cell technologies
- Experience in assay development
- Familiarity with microfluidic devices
- The majority of your time will be dedicated to laboratory work, with some time allocated for report writing and presentations.
- There will be an opportunity for travel to Germany during the assignment, although the timing is yet to be determined.
