Hours: 8am-5pm
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and advancing innovative technologies that cater to the dynamic requirements of the Life Science sector, particularly in the realm of Advanced Cell Culture.
Your primary focus will be on the enhancement and execution of sophisticated cell culture systems, collaborating on projects that bridge Healthcare and Life Sciences. The initial emphasis will be on developing liver, small intestine, and kidney models pertinent to preclinical safety and drug metabolism, while also deepening our comprehension of the interactions between biological targets and tissue systems.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and participate in international, cross-disciplinary project teams to address project requirements and support laboratory efforts related to advanced tissue cell culture models. A solid background in cell culture methodologies and a robust network within the academic community are essential for this role.
Your work will involve direct cooperation with Healthcare colleagues, particularly in the context of developing iPSC-derived organoids. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader Bioconvergence initiative.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Biology with substantial postdoctoral experience and a strong technical foundation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with organoids and stem cell research.
- Proficiency in assay development and microfluidic device applications.
- The role will primarily involve laboratory work, with time allocated for report writing and presentations.
- There will be an opportunity for travel to Germany during the assignment.
