Contract Duration: 12+ months
Compensation: $40-43/hr
Working Hours: 8am-5pm
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and advancing cutting-edge technologies that cater to the dynamic requirements of the Life Science sector, particularly in Advanced Cell Culture.
Your primary focus will involve the enhancement and execution of sophisticated cell culture systems, specifically targeting liver, small intestine, and kidney models. These models are crucial for preclinical safety assessments and drug metabolism studies, as well as for deepening our comprehension of the interactions between biological targets and tissue biology.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and participate in international, cross-disciplinary project teams to fulfill project requirements and assist the laboratory in developing advanced tissue cell culture models. A solid background in cell culture methodologies and a robust network within the academic community are essential for this role.
Additionally, you will engage directly with Healthcare colleagues, particularly in the context of developing iPSC-derived organoids. Your responsibilities will also encompass supporting the broader Bioconvergence initiative.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Biology (a strong emphasis on biological sciences is required)
- Postdoctoral experience is essential
- Strong technical expertise
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
Essential Experience:
- Proficiency in organoid and stem cell research
- Experience in assay development
- Familiarity with microfluidic devices
Please note that the majority of your time will be spent in the laboratory, with occasional work on reports and presentations. There will also be an opportunity for travel to Germany during the assignment, though the timing is yet to be determined.
