Position: Senior ETL Developer

Role Summary: The Senior ETL Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data integration processes and reporting solutions. This role involves working with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) methodologies to enhance reporting capabilities derived from CAD/RMS systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports aligned with business specifications.
  • Construct ETL workflows to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into a centralized data repository.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and refine reporting requirements.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for effective data manipulation.
  • Implement data cleansing and validation protocols to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.
  • Design and establish data models and schemas to facilitate reporting and analytical needs.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of SSRS reports and data loading operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to SSRS reporting, ETL processes, and data quality.
  • Document technical specifications, data mappings, and ETL processes comprehensively.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to end-users regarding SSRS reports and data access tools.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Experience: Over 10 years in roles such as SSRS Developer or ETL Developer, with a strong focus on SQL programming and database management, particularly within Microsoft SQL Server environments. Proven experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development and data integration is essential. A minimum of 5 years working with Crime data from PremierOne CAD/RMS is required.

Skills: Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and data normalization. Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary, along with effective communication skills.

Certifications:

PremierOne CAD/RMS Certification is preferred.
