Job Overview

Educology Solutions is seeking a highly skilled ETL Senior Professional Application Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing processes that translate data from various sources to destinations and present findings to appropriate team members, clients, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL design and development, with experience in using the Microsoft BI tool set, specifically SSIS and T-SQL. They will also possess excellent analytical skills in a SQL environment, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Solving complex ETL-related technical tasks, identifying potential issues, resolving issues, and driving tasks to successful completion on or ahead of schedule.
  • Understanding processes and procedures and advocating for their use with all project members both inside and outside the ETL team.
  • Mentoring other team members in areas of expertise and ETL processes and standards and participating in code reviews.
  • Informing Management of project issues; escalating issues in a timely manner, and asking for assistance when needed.
  • Multi-tasking simultaneous assignments, prioritizing ETL tasks, ensuring all tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule.
  • Developing, testing, managing, and implementing ETL packages and applications within the standards set by the team.
  • Solving complex issues in innovative ways.
  • Tuning and troubleshooting ETL applications.
  • Performing standard ETL administration tasks such as deployment, package migration and relocation, and managing metadata.
  • Preparing ETL packages for deployment to development, test, and production environments following all Release Management policies.
  • Automating processes where appropriate.
  • Participating in the on-call rotation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years ETL design and development experience.
  • 5+ years Data analysis experience using SQL.
  • 5+ years Database knowledge utilizing SSIS and T-SQL.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Microsoft Business Intelligence certification(s)
