Job Description

The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital is committed to establishing a premier wellness destination for our community. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will operate under the guidance of a radiologist, executing intricate professional procedures essential for patient diagnosis and treatment. Your role will involve obtaining high-quality imaging scans, which will be analyzed by a radiologist to assess diseases or abnormalities. You will also assist radiologists or other medical staff in conducting diagnostic imaging procedures as needed. This position encompasses general radiology responsibilities as well.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Completion of formal radiology technology training at an AMA accredited institution is required.
Skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and meet deadlines in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Effective communication skills to understand directions and respond to inquiries.
  • Proficiency in using facility communication systems and equipment (e.g., EMR/PACS and fax machines).
  • Capability to input and retrieve information from radiology or other medical equipment and computerized systems.
License
  • Must meet ARRT registry requirements and hold CT registration.
  • If eligible for CT registry, passing the registry within one year of accepting the position is necessary; if performing in multiple modalities and registry eligible, passing the registry within one year of accepting additional responsibilities is required.
Certification
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
