Medical Scribe Position

The Medical Scribe will assist medical providers in documenting patient encounters, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. Key responsibilities include transcribing medical findings, completing physician documentation, and tracking lab results. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to speak and interpret English fluently, as well as type 40+ words per minute. A high school graduate or equivalent is required, with some college preferred. Current or previous enrollment in Pre-Medical, Medical, or Nursing school is also desirable. Medical terminology is strongly preferred. As a Medical Scribe at Iscribemd, you will play a crucial role in supporting our medical providers and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Functions of the Medical Scribe
1. Accompany the provider into the examination area and transcribe medical findings in real time.
2. Complete additional needed physician documentation.
3. Inform the provider when lab results are completed and enter results into the chart.
4. Look up pertinent medical records from prior medical visits.
5. Track and enter the results of radiology reports.
6. Document all medical procedures performed and ordered by the provider.
7. Enter the patient's plan of care into the Electronic Medical Record database.
8. Follow all documentation compliance standards.

Requirements
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer literacy and ability to type 40+ words per minute.
Ability to speak and interpret English fluently.
Must be able to work at least two 8 hour shifts per week and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
High school graduate or equivalent required, some college preferred.
Current or previous enrollment in Pre-Medical, Medical, or Nursing school preferred.
Medical terminology strongly preferred.
