Cardiovascular Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Unit at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Cardiovascular Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including post-STEMI patients, post-cardiac catheterization patients, and patients undergoing vascular procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
  • NIHSS Certification.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
